A True Original
Not long ago a true original sand-casted CB750 was auctioned off on Ebay. The final bid landed on 16,999 US dollars.
The bike was originally restored and purchased 8 years ago, from the one and only CB750 sandcast guru Mr. Vic World [See: http://worldmotorcycles.com/]. This CB750 restorations wherer so good and authentic that Honda Motor Co. Japan purchased a similar Vic World CB750 for its Collection Hall museum – and proceeded to place it in the entry lobby. American Honda purchased one shortly thereafter.
Nothing has been replaced on this motorcycle (except engine oil). It still has the ultra-rare original tires (Bridgestone Super Speeds), which remain in very good condition, with no cracks, splits or dry-rot. The original paintwork is in fantastic condition, with no sun-fading whatsoever.
A beautiful bike that I hope will not be put into some private collection, so we will not have the privileged to look at it in the future.
